Welcome to the news for this week.

There is information for the coming week below  as well as general church notices and prayer intentions and I would encourage you to take a look at all that is on offer. 

This Sunday there will be just the one service  in the benefice:

   9.30am - United Benefice Communion, Peasemore

Holy Week

During Holy Week we will be keeping our previous practice of Midday Prayer and Compline, the latter with a reflection on the Passion. This forms an important part of our devotions as we move toward the events of Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. The details for these services are as follows:

 Monday

12.00pm - Midday Prayer, Farnborough

  8.00pm - Compline, West Ilsley - The Shepherd

Tuesday

12.00pm - Midday Prayer, Stockcross      

   8.00pm - Compline, Winterbourne - The Servant

Wednesday

10.30am - Holy Communion, Chieveley

12.00pm - Midday Prayer, Boxford

  8.00pm - Compline, Beedon - The Sacrifice

 Maundy Thursday

12.00pm - Midday Prayer, Peasemore

At 8.00pm on Maundy Thursday evening in St. Mary’s, Chieveley we will be holding our regular Eucharist to commemorate the institution of the Lord’s Supper. This will conclude with the stripping of the altar and a vigil until midnight.

Good Friday

This year we are focussing our worship on Good Friday in two services. They are as follows:

11.00am - Family Service, Winterbourne

  2.00pm - Service of Prayer at the Cross,  Farnborough

The Good Friday Walk this year will start at Peasemore Church at 9am, then on to Beedon.  We plan to leave Beedon church by 9.45am arriving at  West Ilsley Village Hall for lunch. We will leave West Ilsley around 12.30pm to arrive at Farnborough in time for the Service of Prayer at the Cross at 2.00pm. Please note: All times apart from start time are approximate. Easter Eve

  8.00pm - Service of Light & Communion for Easter, Beedon

Easter Day

    8.30am - Holy Communion, Oare  

    9.30am - Family Communion, Winterbourne

    9.30am - Family Communion, Boxford

    9.30am - Family Communion, West Ilsley

 11.00am - Family Communion, Stockcross

 11.00am - Holy Communion, Farnborough

 11.00am - Family Communion, Chieveley

 11.00am - Family Communion, Peasemore

Every Wednesday there is a service of Holy Communion in St Mary's, Chieveley at 10.30am which will be followed by coffee.
